OK, so I admit, there is absolutely NO excuse for my complete absence. It wasn't until about the 3rd or 4th time that my client told me how important my blogs were that I've actually now decided to come out of hibernation. (I know Winter is around the corner, but I'm not a conventional person)
My client shared how she read all of my posts before even deciding to interview me. She felts so strongly about my blog and Facebook presence, that she and her fiance have volunteered themselves to help me get it together.
Sad.
Pitiful even.
I get it, and again there is no excuse. My thinking that it was more important to dedicate all my time to my clients and let the blog fall by the wayside was completely off base. The fact that there always seem to be more to do in a day than enough hours to get it done is no longer cutting it. Everyone's busy, every minute, of every day. I am no exception. And my blog presence should not suffer. My client reminded me that it only takes a minute, and instantly I am in touch with so many of you who have taken an interest in what I have to say.
I didn't even know that was the case. I mean, little old me...who cares what I have to say when there are so many "celebrity" wedding planners out there offering the latest on this or that? What could my blog offer over theirs. (Yes, even a glamorous girl like me doubts herself every now and then).
But in my conversation with my client, I realized that that was exactly what she liked about me. That I was little old me, (ok I'm not old at all) who loves to do this work, who always puts the clients above my own personal aspirations, and who has an expertise and perspective that is really valueable.
So with that, here I am with a renewed committment to share my "innovative ideas, splendid suggestions, and random rantings." I've missed you world! I hope you missed me a little, and are even half as happy as my client is that I"m back!
